Snug at the cottage

The snug

Tucked away down a little corridor off the living room, the snug offers the opportunity for kids to get away from parents with a room of their own, equipped with a solid wood futon, TV and Wii games console. The room used to be a prison cell, so you can make up all sorts of crimes to keep the kids in there for the length of your break! You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy it however, simply curl up on the huge futon with a good book and while away the hours.

  • Three-seater futon (converts to a 4’6 double bed)
  • Flat screen TV and family-friendly Wii games console

The garden and summerhouse

The garden has various places to hide away from the world with a glass of Pimms and a book in the sunshine. There’s a summerhouse too, so even if the weather isn’t being nice, then you can still choose to be closer to nature whilst reading the Sunday papers.

At night, solar festoon lights, fairy lights and hurricane lanterns bring the different areas to life – and are perfect with a BBQ as the sun sets.

Guests can help themselves to seasonal veggies, raspberries and strawberries from the garden. There’s also a working vintage tractor to explore.

For younger guests, there’s badminton, outdoor snakes and ladders and croquet to enjoy, or, if the weather is really lovely – a boat-shaped paddling pool.
