28 Jul Green Man Festival 20th-23rd August 2015
The cottage will make a great base for any festival goers attending the gorgeous Green Man festival this year, which is held at the beautiful Glanusk Park, about two miles down the road from the cottage on the way to Crickhowell.
Occupying a beautiful spot in the valley, with views to the Table Mountain and the estate to explore, there really is something special about this festival. This year the line up includes the Super Furry Animals, Goat, St Vincent, Hot Chip and Father John Misty, plus lots lots more.
Green Man is not just about the music though, there’s also comedy, film, wildlife walks, a taxidermy class, mad science and various areas to explore including Einstein’s Garden, Babbling Tongues, Nature Nuture, Mountain’s Foot, Far Out, Walled Garden, Little Folk, Somewhere, The Courtyard, Fortune Falls.
There’s a huge sense of laid back chilled-ness about Green Man, and a genuine feeling of wonder and magic for a small festival, I only wish I could have got tickets to go. The finale includes the burning of the Green Man who watches over the whole festival. Maybe I’ll be luckier next year and get tickets!
Tickets for 2015 are now sold out, but you can find out more about Green Man festival.
