There are just two weekends to go until the holiday cottage welcomes her first guests. I’m spectacularly excited, but also aware of how important this first booking is. I want everything to be just right – from the towels and the bedding to the fire, heating, and kitchen equipment. I want her to feel cosy and welcoming – like a home away from home. I don’t want to have missed anything out.<\/p>\n
And that’s quite stressful, especially as I still have a little painting and purchasing to do. (Tonight was towels, binoculars and star-gazing\/bird watching books – it’s an eclectic selection!) But it really feels like the end is near (and with just two weekends to go, it really is this time).<\/p>\n
I’ve also been to see another beautiful property in the area and realised I should be thinking of baking little welcome treats for guests, though in Wales, perhaps it should automatically be welsh cakes. Definitely not laverbread though, promise! I shall keep it a surprise for now, though – you’ll just have to stay if you want to find out what I’ve decided!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
