22 Jul Porch time
The front and back porches are probably the first thing that holiday makers will see, and they’ve been getting some attention this weekend; window frames have been sanded and filled, caulked and sanded again, ready for painting. The walls have also been given a fresh lick of paint too. As a result all that remains for me to do is to spend some time painting the ceiling and the windows in the next week or so, then furnishing them with places for boots and coats.
The back porch is a little bigger than the front one and doubles up as a boot room/utility room with an oak worktop, washer/dryer, microwave and space to hang wet coats and clothes.
